Linda Hunt – 79 Years Old

Renowned actress Linda Hunt, born Lydia Susanna Hunt, has made a name for herself as a versatile performer in theater and film. She stepped into the world of cinema with her role as Mrs. Oxheart in Popeye, though her original aspiration was to direct. Hunt’s early days on stage saw her in the Long Wharf Theatre’s 1972 production of Hamlet, followed by her Broadway appearance in Ah, Wilderness! in 1975. She continued to impress in 1982 with her performance in the off-off-Broadway play A Metamorphosis in Miniature, receiving high praise from critics.

After her Oscar win, Hunt’s film career blossomed with notable roles in Dune (1984), Silverado (1985), Kindergarten Cop (1990), and voice work in the animated classics Pocahontas (1995) and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998). On television, she has captivated audiences in series such as The Practice (1997-2002), Space Rangers (1993-1994), and her beloved portrayal of Hetty Lange on NCIS: Los Angeles (2009-2023), a role that earned her two Teen Choice Awards.
