George Lucas: Director – $7.3 Billion
In 2012, the Walt Disney Company invested $4.05 billion to acquire Lucasfilm, the production company founded by the American director George Lucas. Disney now owns the immensely popular (and lucrative) “Star Wars” franchise, which still makes up for most of Lucas’ fortune. Lucas has an unbelievable net worth of $7.3 billion, which is much less than his box-office record of $12 billion.
In addition to creating “Star Wars”, Lucas is also credited for the “Indiana Jones” film series. Arguably one of the most creative billionaires in the world, Lucas still works as a Hollywood director, writer, and producer. In 2021, he appeared in an episode of “Hollywood Insider.”
