Kate Silverton is a well-known BBC newsreader who is the regular host of BBC News at One, BBC News at Six, BBC News at Ten, and BBC Weekend News. She has been married to former Royal Marine Mike Heron. While the couple has been going strong since their wedding day, they have had some challenges along the way.
These include having their two children Wilbur and Clemency. She was told she would never have children after losing one of her ovaries during an operation to have cysts removed. Despite four failed IVF attempts, she actually naturally conceived her eldest daughter Clemency. She followed that up with a son in 2014.
