Showbiz can be maddening place for those who crave some peace and quiet like Magnum P.I. and Blue Bloods actor Tom Selleck. Right after he married his second wife Jillie Mack, he bought a 63-acre avocado ranch in Hidden Valley. He doesn’t even like avocados, but it sure is a lucrative business.

Tom says that the ranch is a blessing as it helps him unwind, as he loves working outdoors and his daughter Hannah used to breed horse here. The actor has been working since the 1970s, but would like to move here after he retires from acting. Selleck got into trouble and had to pay a fine of $21,000 when it came to light that he had improperly diverted water to his farm when there was a drought in the area!
