When Bo Derek came on the scene in the ’70s, it was with an acclaimed performance in a romantic comedy called 10. She was all set for superstardom, and then she starred in films directed by her husband John Derek like Ghosts Can’t Do It, Tarzan The Ape Man, and Bolero.
All of these were critical bombs, and it started a string of critical bombs that even saw her winning to Golden Raspberry Awards. She was eventually nominated for Worst Actress of the Century at the Razzies, and she only narrowly lost out to Madonna. Derek is an animal rights activist and in 202o featured on the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
Anastacia Hille was a runner-up for the Ian Charleson Awards while attending London’s Drama Centre, coming in second to Toby Stephens but surpassing Jude Law.
