Glynis Johns – 98 Years Old

Born in South Africa to parents who were touring musicians, Glynis Johns was destined to be in showbiz. In fact, she was so creative in her art that she created a character named Desiree Armfeldt for an already established play titled A Little Night Music. She played the character, so astutely she won a Tony Award for it.

Her film career includes roles as Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins alongside Dick Van Dyke and Dame Julie Andrews. She also had a role in the 1960 film The Sundowners, which earned her an Oscar nomination. Johns is currently the oldest living Oscar nominee and retired in 1999.
