Scott Valentine’s path to stardom took an unexpected turn from his early days as a publishing house researcher. His persistence and passion ultimately landed him a role in the iconic sitcom ‘Family Ties,’ where he entertained audiences for nearly seven years. A native New Yorker, Valentine grew up immersed in the vibrant world of Broadway, sparking his desire to pursue acting full-time. In 1981, he was on the brink of a breakthrough with a screen test for ‘The Lords of Discipline’ when an accident forced him to step away.

After a three-year hiatus, Valentine made a triumphant return, scoring the career-defining role of Nick Moore. ‘Family Ties’ skyrocketed in popularity, spawning three spin-offs that showcased Valentine alongside Herschel Bernardi.
