Kim Novak – 89 Years Old

In 1953, Kim Novak was on a modeling tour for a refrigerator company in Chicago when she decided to audition as a movie extra. But the audition for an extra became a whole lot more when an agent picked her up, and she signed to a long-term deal with Columbia Pictures.

What the studio wanted was an answer to 20th Century Fox’s Marilyn Monroe. What they got was an acclaimed performance in Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo and blockbuster roles in films with leading men like Frank Sinatra and Kirk Douglas. She retired in 1966, with two Golden Globes and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to her credit.
